After the pre-release EP "Faust Hoch" at the beginning of the year, the young up-and-coming punk rock band ROGERS from Düsseldorf announces their first full-length album "Flucht Nach Vorn" on People Like You Records (distribution: Universal) for May 31, 2013!

ROGERS primarily stand for socially critical lyrics wrapped in hard riffs and melodic dual vocals, a healthy dose of punk rock, and a mix of various influences that affect both the lyrics and the characteristic sound of the band.
Since the end of 2006, the band has been making its way from stage to stage, convincing live every time and thus gaining new fans. Until the end of 2012, they performed under the band name "Jolly Roger". The release show for their first EP "Wohin es uns führt..." on July 22 was the kickoff of the "Bereit zum (K)entern Tour 2010", which took the four-member punk rock band across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In Germany, they shared the stage with bands like Radio Havanna, Massendefekt, and Useless ID, and won the highly regarded City Beats Final in the House of Youth, Düsseldorf, in December. Alongside consistently positive reviews in OX, Useless, and several other music magazines, the band also managed to earn very good live reviews.
Although the quartet withdrew temporarily after the tour to focus on their first album, further successes were not long in coming. Alongside several festivals in the summer and sold-out concerts, including with the “Bollock Brothers”, their fan base grew far beyond Düsseldorf's borders. In August 2011, they won the international music competition “Planetrox” and were invited to one of the largest Canadian music festivals “Envol et Macadam” in Quebec, where bands like “Rise Against” and “Flogging Molly” also played. In December 2011, they also shared the stage with the legendary band “Fehlfarben”, which received an enormously positive response. In July 2012, the band won the best newcomer award at the Devil-Side-Festival in Oberhausen, where acts like Marilyn Manson and In Flames performed.
In September 2012, they signed their record deal with PEOPLE LIKE YOU Records in Dortmund, which is responsible for bands like Broilers and Slime. Concurrently with this deal, the name change to ROGERS was also implemented. Thus, the first ROGERS album is now eagerly anticipated!
The pre-release EP "Faust Hoch!" was released via PEOPLE LIKE YOU in February 2013 and shortly thereafter made it into the official German Metal Rock Charts Bullets. A subsequent tour as a support for "Massendefekt" is currently taking ROGERS through all of Germany in March and April.
