Under the name PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION, the Texan thrash metal musicians around D.R.I. singer Kurt Brecht and members of DEAD HORSE come together to deliver a true thrash metal meets hardcore fireworks on their first joint album!
Graviton / Rough Trade will release the self-titled debut on May 24, 2013.
After DEAD HORSE decided to take a break in 2011, the idea quickly emerged among members Martin, Sevall, and Guyote to initiate a joint project with Kurt Brecht. A first show, then still under the name Crud Cutter, followed, and the band produced their first demo under the name PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION. "This music makes sense for us. It's thrash-y and heavy. For me, the writing process resembled the process in D.R.I. It was super collaborative, and everybody was really on the same page," said Brecht.
Recorded at Music Lab Studios in Austin, the band was also able to enlist Tony Foresta (MUNICIPAL WASTE) and Argo (DEAD HORSE) as guest vocalists for the 13-track album. The first single "100 Beers with a Zombie" immediately overwhelms the listener with a punk attitude and massive guitar riffs.
PASADENA NAPALM DIVISION are:
Kurt Brecht (D.R.I.) - Vocals
Greg Martin (DEAD HORSE) - Guitar/Backing Vocals
Ronnie Guyote (DEAD HORSE) - Drums/Backing Vocals
Scott Sevall (DEAD HORSE) - Guitar/Backing Vocals
Bubba D. (VERBAL ABUSE) - Bass/Backing Vocals

Before MAKESHIFT INNOCENCE goes on tour in Germany, they will release their debut album "Yours To Keep" on April 26, 2013.
MAKESHIFT INNOCENCE is still considered a hidden gem in Germany and neighboring countries, but this is likely to change soon. What began with the shows in 2012 is now gaining momentum. On one hand, they won a radio award in their home country of Canada with the single "All You Need Is Love," which was worth $200,000, or the nearly sold-out US tour.
Singer Jesse-James and co. performed last year at the European Music & Media Night (EMMN) in front of around 1,000 guests from the German music and media industry in Hamburg. They thrilled the audience and happily noted after the concert: "We made the penguins fly."
At the end of 2012, MAKESHIFT INNOCENCE was voted Matuschke's "Favorite of the Year" through online voting, an award from the radio station Bayern 3, leaving behind Muse, Cro, Asaf Avidan, Awolnation, Of Monsters And Men, and many other top acts.
You can find the current MAKESHIFT INNOCENCE video "Your Body" for the second single here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2b_fBfS7ITQ
