With "Ich mach mein Ding - Die Show", director Sven Haeusler now presents the nearly 160-minute recording of the show, which brings the intense atmosphere of the Lindenberg concerts up close to the fans. The recording shows everything that Hannes Rossacher's tour documentary "Mit Udo Lindenberg auf Tour: Deutschland im März 2012 - Ein Roadmovie" and the magnificent photo book "Udo Lindenberg - Ich mach mein Ding" by Tine Acke could not fully capture: the constant action on stage, the songs
in their entirety, the guest appearances up close, and the frantic excitement in the audience. All of this in a picture and sound quality that makes you feel like you are there once again.
On the tour, Udo Lindenberg showcased his greatest treasures from forty years of German rock career: From the "Honky Tonky Show" to "Ich lieb Dich überhaupt nicht mehr" and "Bis ans Ende der Welt" to current hits like "Ganz anders" and "Das Leben", he brought everything to the stage that has made him a cult figure of the republic. He was accompanied by sensational guests: Jan Delay, Clueso, and singers Nathalie Dorra, Josephin Busch, and Celina Bostic provided several duet highlights, and even Stefan Raab sat behind the drums for two songs.
The work is rounded off with two additional features on the DVD and Blu-ray: In addition to a 24-minute making-of by Hannes Rossacher, there is a slideshow with photographs by Tine Acke, set to the song Das Leben.
There are not many rock'n'roll and cultural icons made in Germany, but Udo Lindenberg is one of them, and certainly one of the most colorful.
