Depeche Mode will release their highly anticipated 13th studio album “Delta Machine” on March 22, 2013. The long player, which was recorded over the past year in Santa Barbara, California, and New York, was produced by Ben Hillier and mixed by Flood. The first single is titled “Heaven” and has entered the German Singles Charts this week at number 2. It is the first new song since the album “Sounds Of The Universe,” which was released in May 2009 and, like the four previous Depeche Mode albums, reached number one on the German Media Control Charts. In addition to the original version and the B-side “All That’s Mine,” the maxi CD features four more “Heaven” remixes (Owlle Remix, steps to heaven rmx, Blawan Remix, Mathew Dear vs Audion Remix).
Following the release of their new album, the band will embark on a European tour, kicking off on May 7 at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv. There will be a warm-up gig in Nice on May 4. The concert tour includes 34 shows in 25 European countries. After concerts at the Olympiastadion in Munich, Stade De France in Paris, and Moscow's Lokomotive Stadium, the European tour will conclude in Minsk, Belarus. A North American tour will follow - details will be announced soon.
