„Projekt Seerosenteich“ – Album trailer: http://youtu.be/0P00lHgrfZw
Philipp Poisel has become a pop star. Not in the usual sense! What makes the Stuttgarter special are songs that, in their depth and sustainability, consistently find an ever-growing audience.
"For a small label like Grönland, it is an incredibly extraordinary moment and day to celebrate Philipp Poisel's first number one. Philipp is a wonderfully rough, warmly quirky artist full of soul, and when someone like him sings piece by piece, we as a label are happy to have been able to contribute and accompany him. Life is full of great moments." Herbert Grönemeyer (Grönland Records)
With „Projekt Seerosenteich“, Philipp Poisel demonstrates that a live album can sensationally place high in the charts. After two successful studio albums, „Wo fängt dein Himmel an?“ (2008) and „Bis nach Toulouse“ (2010), which spent well over a year in the sales charts and is currently back in the top 75, he has played on ever larger stages. Despite the great success and over a quarter of a million units sold of the first albums – both certified Gold – Philipp Poisel resisted the usual clichés of pop music. After a long festival summer in 2011, Philipp wanted to return to those intimate moments that made his concerts so special for him and his fans in the early years.
„Projekt Seerosenteich“, a concert tour in 2012, documents this in an impressive way and will also be released as a DVD in November.
Two exclusive concerts were filmed at Circus Krone.
