The IdeenSounds project takes visitors of the IdeenPark on the journey from the first creative idea, through production, to the first live performance of a song. Well-known musicians and producers actively support emerging artists and bands from various music genres in implementing their ideas, producing their own songs, and presenting them to the audience. The patron of IdeenSounds 2012 is Rea Garvey, who looks forward to the collaborative project at IdeenPark: "Every artist needs a first chance to reach a large audience, to show themselves, and to say: This is me! The IdeenPark offers these opportunities with the IdeenSounds project. At the same time, the Gläserne Studio answers the questions that every curious emerging artist has: What happens behind the studio door? What does the producer do? IdeenSounds provides the opportunity to experience this directly."
Line-up in the Gläserne Studio complete
The Gläserne Studio is the rehearsal space for the supported musicians and allows visitors of the IdeenPark to experience the everyday life of a band up close. Every day, a band rehearses together with experienced producers on hooks, riffs, punchlines, and vocals. In addition to Jacob Brass, the other talents of the line-up are now confirmed, who will be working on new songs and taking turns in the Gläserne Studio.
· BenjRose is the band of Benjamin Rose. They are dedicated to the singer/songwriter genre. With songs like "Where Do We Go," BenjRose has immense hit potential and has built a loyal fanbase at many festivals.
· Elif Demirezer is still known to "Popstars" viewers – now she shows with her self-written songs how much more is in her. She has already supported Tim Bendzko as a supporting act and is now presenting her repertoire at IdeenPark.
· Crutch consists of Stephanie, Benny, Hannes, Phil, and Kev. Guitar, drums, bass, combined with Stephanie's soulful voice, have already shaped the EP Stockholm/Schweden released in 2011. Now they continue in the Gläserne Studio together with Vincent Sorg, producer of Toten Hosen, H-Blockx, and Donots.
· Jan Röttger is often considered a classic singer/songwriter, but he shows in his performances how much punk can be in an acoustic guitar. Those who want to experience the joy of playing and energy live should visit Jan in the Gläserne Studio.
· The Thiams are two sisters who have been making soul music together for over ten years: singing, composing, playing piano – always with the goal of touching people.
· With "Nur in meinem Kopf," Andreas Bourani had the surprise hit of spring 2011. In the Gläserne Studio, he wants to remix his song and give it a new style.
· REKK come from Dortmund and thus have almost a home game at IdeenPark. The songs on their recently released EP "Turn & Sing" fascinate listeners and remind them of Bon Iver, Damien Rice, or Ben Howard.
· The Chute have been around since 2011 and impressed critics with their EP "Belfour Bar." Rock music as it should be, is the unanimous opinion.

The IdeenPark 2012, the summit meeting for technology and education, takes place from August 11 to 23 in the heart of the Ruhr area. On 60,000 square meters in the Messe Essen and Grugapark, it is all about pure fascination with technology – for the whole family and with free admission on all days. About half a million people visited the IdeenParks in Gelsenkirchen 2004, in Hannover 2006, and in Stuttgart 2008. For 2012, the ThyssenKrupp Group, which organizes the IdeenPark with the support of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and more than 150 partners from research and science, education, and business, expects several hundred thousand visitors. The IdeenPark aims to inspire people for technology and innovation, promote technical creativity, and make the importance of technical innovations for the future tangible. Background: The world population is growing, the climate is changing, raw material consumption is increasing, and resources are becoming scarcer. Only responsible and well-educated people will be able to tackle these challenges. As an international technology company, ThyssenKrupp sees itself in this responsibility.
