On October 12, the long-awaited new CAPTAIN PLANET
album will finally be released via Zeitstrafe, distributed by Cargo Records. Titled
"Treibeis," it will be the third album for the Hanseatic band, following
"Wasser kommt, Wasser geht" (2007) and "Inselwissen" (2009), with which CAPTAIN PLANET will once again demonstrate their indispensable relevance in the
German-speaking punk rock scene.
Their consistently smart, often playfully lyrical lyrics bridge
the intelligent NDW of the 80s and the powerful anger of modern
punk rock records. On "Treibsand," the quartet also manages to definitively swim free from any comparisons and confidently showcase their unique strengths as a band.
At Zeitstrafe, Captain Planet is in good hands, as the
label has recently made a name for itself with compelling
punk rock/HC/indie releases from bands like Antitainment, Grand Griffon,
Matula, and Trip Fontaine. "Treibeis" will be released on CD,
digitally, and in a limited collector's first edition on colored
vinyl, and will soon be available for pre-order at Zeitstrafe.de.
In the second half of the year, CAPTAIN PLANET will also play several
concerts across Germany. In addition to the currently confirmed
dates, more concerts and a release show are in the works.
