HIEROSONIC - there is more to the band from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania than meets the eye at first glance. Their new album “Consciousness.Fame.God.Money.Power” (Soundmine MusicWorks / Membran/Sony), set to be released on May 25, 2012, combines powerful melodies with rocking guitars, plenty of bass, and electronic influences.

The message of the first single “The Media Taught You That” makes it clear what Hierosonic is about: opening people's eyes. “People use this portal, this box in the corner of the room, for what windows in the wall used to do for us. The windows look into the real world, and this box looks into our psyche. Thirsty for controversy. Hungry for extremes. Always at war with themselves. Never satisfied. That is a reflection of people, not the world. A reflection of our thoughts, and nothing else. The media shows us a true thing, and that is our desire to consume the world before it consumes us,” says singer Ben Stewart.
During the filming of the music video with director Joseph Rivera, in which Anthony Burulcich from The Bravery also plays, it was initially not easy for the experienced live band to perform unplugged in front of a green screen, as bassist Mike Stang admits: “But you just have to jam and go full Milli Vanilli! We really didn’t know what to expect, but the result is great!”
The band has established itself through hundreds of concerts in the underground rock scene in the USA. The new album is being created in collaboration with producer Dan Malsch (Four Year Strong, Forever The Sickest Kid, Doro Pesch), who signed the five members to his label Soundmine MusicWorks, founded in 2011. However, those who think there is a contradiction between catchy choruses and thought-provoking lyrics will find the opposite presented here. Hierosonic's philosophy is: art as a driving force for change, not only in the world but in our minds.
