Last week, the single "Easy" by the young Stuttgart rapper CRO comfortably charted at number 2 on the Media Control Charts. A phenomenal entry, especially considering that the title had already been available as a free download on the internet for 16 weeks before the label Chimperator, in collaboration with Groove Attack, released "Easy" as a single and EP.
The sensational chart position is just one aspect of the rapid rise of the Panda rapper. Over eight million clicks for "Easy" on YouTube, 390,000 friends on Facebook, a completely sold-out tour in April/May, and support from various media even before the release of the first songs speak volumes and indicate that a genuine success story is unfolding.
But let's take it slow with the young pandas: Currently, CRO is quietly in the studio working on his first album "Raop". By the way, it's a coined term that combines rap and pop, vividly summarizing CRO's style. CRO's debut album will be released in the summer.
