Almost three years after "Corner Of A Circle", the Swiss band Tribal returns with their third studio album "I-Dentity". Change and identity are, as the title suggests, the guiding themes. Nothing lasts forever, neither darkness nor blinding light. In a passage from the song "On A Silken Thread", it says:
„There it is dark. We are the light. The more we need to shine. Cause it's all on a silken thread“.
More than on their predecessor, the band plays with contrasts on "I-Dentity". Heavy and modern rock parts alternate with melancholic, at times psychedelic passages. The lyrics are once again critical and infused with biting black humor. Yet they are also full of hope. Titles like "My Identity", "Believe", or the entirely German song "Die Kraft ist in Dir" speak volumes.
Tribal presents a modern, catchy, sometimes playfully epic rock album with "I-Dentity", whose melodies inevitably stick in the listener's mind.
