The H-Blockx are ready to release their 7th studio album, simply titled "HBLX", at the end of May.
The crossover anthems of H-Blockx have etched themselves into the pop cultural memory of an entire generation. Anyone in Germany between the ages of thirty and fifty has likely celebrated at parties to "Risin' High" or jumped in the air to the beat of "Move" in front of some stage. The band from Münster is the most successful domestic crossover band of the 90s, having written an evergreen classic with "Risin' High", which is an unshakeable part of that pop decade.
Their groove still moves the masses today. They have played at Rock Am Ring five times already, getting tens of thousands of festival-goers into a party mood, and the H-Blockx have sold over 2 million records to date.
With their new album "HBLX", the band is once again full of energy and ready to continue the virtues of their legendary debut "Time To Move". They recorded the 11 new songs in the studio almost under live conditions, full of spontaneous energy that successful producer Vincent Sorg (Die Toten Hosen, In Extremo, among others) and his partner Jörg Umbreit managed to capture masterfully.
On May 25, "HBLX" will be released in cooperation with Embassy Of Music and the distributors Warner and Zebralution. The band has already confirmed initial appearances for the festival season from May to August (including Taubertal Open Air, Highfield, Deichbrand, Greenfield), with an extensive tour following in autumn 2012 and spring 2013.
The now seventh studio album contains eleven exciting songs, characterized by muscular rhythms, catchy melodies, and memorable vocal parts. "HBLX" shines with funk reduced to the bone, stormy choruses, and cool lyrics.
