Album Trailer
Meike Schrader laid the foundation for her career at the age of 17 when she took singing lessons, and her teacher became the most important person in her life. The lessons shaped not only her voice but also her determination, leading to the decision to drop out of school to pursue a musical education. Since 1999, she has been successfully working on various personal projects, but she has also lent her voice to more well-known colleagues such as Udo Lindenberg (Atlantic Affairs), Fettes Brot, and Nils Koppruch. In addition, she, along with two colleagues, initiated the monthly singer-songwriter concert series “Sängerknaben & Sirenen,” which brings vibrancy to the Hamburg music scene and provides a stage for young singer-songwriters from around the world in the context of Hamburg's Gängeviertel. After performing solo and with a band to build an audience, she focused more on studio work in 2010 and released the EP “...mein Hafen” independently as a precursor to the now available album.
