DISPATCH: the grassroots rock legend with a new EP on Uncle M Music (release date
March 23, 2012)

110,000 people flocked to the supposed farewell concert of
Dispatch in 2004, paying tribute with their presence to a trio that
had achieved incredible things in the years prior and had captured the
hearts of the American Do It Yourself / grassroots culture with its
credibility and integrity. Hardly any other band in the world has since
managed to build such closeness to its own fans and to incorporate the
much-quoted motto "more than
music" into its projects.
Fast forward to 2011: After many years of creative pause,
Chad Stokes, Pete Heimbold, and Brad Corrigan return to their band,
write new songs, and announce a world tour. Their outdoor shows in America
sell out at lightning speed, and once again, over 100,000 visitors attend
their reunion shows on the East Coast of the USA, of which there is a first impression here:

For the first time in the band's history, Dispatch also announces shows in Europe
for March 2012, which sell out within 48 hours (without advertising!) and have to be moved to larger venues. With the EP simply titled "Dispatch," the band's first release since 2002 is now exclusively available at Uncle M. In the USA, the 6-song release recently reached #42 on the Billboard charts –
of course again: without major advertising, without a label!
Dispatch and their blend of acoustic, rock, reggae, folk, and funk are as fresh as ever, and their social commitment is too. They will continue to follow their own path – just as their loyal fanbase expects from them.
