The
APPD (Anarchist Pogo Party of Germany) has made it onto the ballots in two federal states. For this, they are allowed to run an election campaign spot on ARD and ZDF like the other parties. A ninety-second spot was quickly filmed and made available to the public broadcasters. However, before the first broadcast last Friday, the WDR rejected it as harmful to minors. It was stated that it depicted "an orgy filled with alcohol, drugs, sex, and violence involving adolescents and children," according to the original wording of the WDR lawyers. The
APPD did not seem completely unprepared for this, as they managed to submit a toned-down version just in time, which was actually aired. Further broadcast dates are:
Thursday, 1.9.2005, 17:10 on ZDF
Monday, 5.9.2005, 22:28 on ARD (before Tagesthemen)
Monday, 12.9.2005, 21:40 on ZDF (before Heute-Journal)
