The new album "Jekyll and Hyde" by the multi-platinum rockers PRIME CIRCLE from South Africa will be available in stores from 01.07.11!
After completing their successful tour in Germany - including as support for 3 Doors Down and Alter Bridge, their long-awaited new hit album „Jekyll and Hyde“ will finally be released tomorrow, 01.07.11, via Syndora / Rough Trade.
These days, the term "world-class" is commonplace - and often inaccurate. An unjustified hype often arises. But this term is completely appropriate when it comes to the new album “Jekyll & Hyde” by PRIME CIRCLE. In their home country of South Africa, the album has already achieved platinum status and has sold more than 120,000 copies.
The fact is that the rock album is already so successful that it is making waves in the Billboard and UK charts. It’s no wonder that the five see this album as a great opportunity to venture into new territories with PRIME CIRCLE.

Considering the creative work from Bellville (Cape Town), producer Theo Crous, LA mix engineer Kevin "The Cave Man", Shirley and George Marino - senior mastering engineer at "Sterling Sound" New York, an enticing and global polish was applied by external professionals. These creative hands define the special attribute of "Jekyll & Hyde".
Undoubtedly, Shirley (Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith) and Marino (Guns 'N Roses, Ozzy Osbourne) gave the album by PRIME CIRCLE solid qualities and elevated it to the Olympus of great moments by conjuring a subtle and potent musical shine. However, the real work comes from the band itself.
"Our mantra during the recording was ", admits singer Ross Learmonth.
This meant that some songs were filtered out and even potentially interesting songs were discarded by Learmonth, Dirk Bisschoff, Marco Gomes, Dale Schnettler, and Neil Breytenbach to deliver a perfect mix to the fans.
Here are the first reactions to the album:
“A little bit of melancholy in the attractive songs, all perfectly arranged with great musicians and an excellent singer, you can't complain about them.”
