Ex-Manson guitarist Tim Skold announces solo releases as SKOLD!
After his collaborations with Marilyn Manson and KMFDM, the Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Tim Skold is now returning to the public eye with his very own solo project SKOLD.
This will take the form of the new single E.P. "Suck“ in April 2011 and a complete new album titled "Anomie" following in May.
Born in Sweden, Tim Skold formed his first band back in 1980.
With three other members, the glam metal band Kingpin was created, which released an album and eventually renamed itself to the far more well-known Shotgun Messiah in 1989.
In 1997, he joined KMFDM, and together they released three albums.
In 2002, he took the position of bassist and co-producer with Marilyn Manson after long-time Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez left the band.
After the departure of Manson guitarist John 5 in 2004, Skold also took over the guitar part in Marilyn Manson.
In 2008, Manson and Skold parted ways, after which he returned to KMFDM.
Together they released the album "Blitz" in 2009, as well as a work from the side project SKOLD vs. KMFDM.
Now, however, the German electro-industrial label Dependent will take care of him, and we can expect exciting SKOLD releases in 2011.
