On the label Make My Day, the second album "If Tomorrow The War" by the US shoegaze indie metal band CONSTANTS will be released on 13.08.2010.
Under the direction of Justin K. Broadrick (Ex-Napalm Death, Godflesh, Jesu), the album is powerfully staged.
With the 2009 concept album “The Foundation | The Machine | The Ascension,” CONSTANTS already made a very impressive and successful appearance, leaving many open mouths and impressed fans, who have been convinced multiple times (including on a co-headliner tour with their labelmates CASPIAN a few months ago) of the live qualities of the trio around Will Benoit.
“If Tomorrow The War” loosely picks up the musical thread spun 1 ½ years ago, consistently continues the band's own sound line, and yet is quite different. Shoegaze, indie, metal, prog, psychedelic... The trio from Boston still holds little sacred and especially nothing foreign; however, “If Tomorrow The War” is a healthy dose more song-oriented and thus more direct, accessible in the best sense compared to its predecessor.
The basics were recorded in the band’s own - solar-powered - studio, after which the raw energy of the band was purposefully and powerfully staged under the direction of Justin K. Broadrick (Ex-Napalm Death, Godflesh, Jesu). Guest appearances by Mike Hill (Tombs) and Andrew Neufeld (Comeback Kid) also round off the album. For the graphic work, Michael Repasch-Nieves (Junius) was commissioned. Overall, “If Tomorrow The War” should mean a significant step forward for CONSTANTS.
From 08.11.2010 – 06.12.2010, the band will embark on an extensive tour with their label colleagues from IREPRESS and present the new material live for the first time. Band : CONSTANTS Album : IF TOMORROW THE WAR Release Date : 13.08.2010 Label/Distribution : Make My Day Records / Alive
