The Mighty Sounds Festival is entering its 6th round this year. This time, the festival will take place from July 16 to 18 in Tábor, Czech Republic (90 kilometers from Prague). The largest Ska-Punk festival in Europe will be spread across 6 different stages. Over three days and three nights, more than 150 artists from around the world will perform. Among the bands confirmed so far are the Spanish Heros Ska-P, who attracted more than 10,000 fans from all over Europe to their concert at the Prague "Tesla Arena" a year ago. Fans of harder sounds will be pleased with the Rock’n’Roll bands "Mad Sin" or "Frantic Flintstone". The punk rock faction will also be well represented with the "Donots", the American "Born To Lose", "H2O", and "Sworn Enemy". The finest ska will be provided by "The Busters", the French "Skarface", "Prague Conspiracy", "Fast Food Orchestra", or "Russkaja". A perfect mix of reggae and hip-hop will be presented by the legendary "Irie Révoltés". All visitors can look forward to many more big names at the 6th Summer Ska & Punk Explosion.
As always, fans of Drum’n’Bass, Breakcore, Reggae, Dancehall, Techno, Hardcore, and other music genres will also get their money's worth on the additional 3 stages. Additionally, the festival will feature theater performances, performances, and various sports attractions to entertain the Mighty People.
This year, the festival location will be moved from the meadows in Olší, which have been a characteristic feature of the Mighty Sounds Festival, due to the unfortunate fact that they turn into an unwanted mud bath when it rains, worsening conditions not only for visitors but also for musicians, who had great difficulty leaving the festival grounds last year. The somewhat firmer, flat surface of the green airport in Tábor ensures greater comfort for all participants.
