Rookie and Ritchie are releasing a new Aeronauten album on CD and vinyl with a download code
Cologne, 13.01.2010 – Finally, on February 19, the new album by Die Aeronauten, "Hallo Leidenschaft!", will be released, which the Swiss already announced in the fall with their wonderful single "Hallo Liebe". What can happen after seven albums and various singles that might delight the listener anew? Perhaps this is exactly where the great strength of the six Aeronauten lies, not simply repeating themselves after more than fifteen years of making music together, allowing new ideas alongside old strengths, and never, truly never, losing that rare ability to not only laugh at the other idiots.
In 13 tracks, Die Aeronauten tell us everything about the absurdities of their own generation, both sad and cheerful, always truth-loving, songs that can lead to real dance hits as well as Bossa ballads, where indie can coexist with neo-country. In GUZ it sounds like this: "We were everywhere / we have seen everything / 5:55 and we have to / go nowhere / we have searched for everything / but there was nothing there." Or to put it in the words of one of the very old Aeronauten friends, Ritchie, who is also releasing the vinyl with a download code: "Everything is included and everything is great."
See for yourself; right from the opener "Feuer der Liebe," it shows where the journey is headed. Die Aeronauten were, are, and will remain sympathetic and honest, their music timelessly good and extremely danceable. And the best part: Starting in March, Die Aeronauten will go on an extensive tour.
