Gradually, it seems to be becoming fashionable for bands to attempt to auction off various items at high prices. Often for a good cause, sometimes seemingly just to get rid of old junk with a catchy name. One cannot escape this impression with the auction of the Vageenas car. A vintage Ford Sierra Station Wagon, built in 1990 with 320,000 km mileage, is being offered on eBay, and its list of defects is already worth reading. For example, it states, "The lever to open the glove compartment is broken. However, a replacement lever in the form of a spoon is included, which allows you to open the glove compartment not only easily but also in a very unique way!". The car has been more or less elaborately redesigned with a spray can, so now the band name and various other small artworks adorn the body. Fans of the band or pedestrians who urgently want to change this condition can bid starting at one euro at http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4555096803, with the hammer falling on June 19 at 7:30 PM.
Aside from the hope of getting rich from this auction, the Vageenas have been looking for a new band member since their split from their old bassist Alen. The rehearsal space is located in Duisburg. Interested individuals who have some experience on bass and are excited about a future with the Vageenas should contact via the email address rene@vageenas.de.
