So friends of the night, of the summer park, and of drunken cheerfulness. Good news! The park stage for this year's Resist To Exist Festival is set!!! The festival will therefore take place again on 09/10.09.2005 in Schlosspark Biesdorf. To support us with our hopefully still super low admission prices, we would like to refer to the upcoming benefit concerts for the festival.
On one hand (exact date will be revealed tonight) at Köpi and on the other at TWH Tommy Weisbecker Haus. Punk is planned for Köpi, while SKA is intended for TWH. Currently, we are actively looking for interesting bands for both the benefit concerts and the festival. Whether no-name or headliner doesn't matter! As long as good music is played, we are interested in everything. Band suggestions, questions, critiques, suggestions, etc. can be directed to poebaellberlin@aol.com or you can use the contact form on the festival website. Bomb us with things you would like to see different this year. What is feasible will be done.
The festival website is finally accessible again under the old URL (http://www.resisttoexist.de.vu). And hey, this time it actually works. An update will come with the first news / first interesting facts. Stay tuned! After the police terror recently, we no longer believed in the stage permit. Someone seems to be on our side.
For this reason, a small reprimand to all those who wander around the area constantly masked and, through their dull when-I-grow-up-I-will-be-a-revolutionary actions, additionally attract the police to us! Get it together or the festival will have to be canceled! That should be in neither our nor your interest. I'm sorry, but in this case, I'm briefly playing the mom: if anyone is frequently causing stress actions in the park or instigating them, there will be a necessary ban from the festival or expulsion for those individuals!!! It can't be helped, someone has to put their name on the whole project. And I definitely won't take the fall for others' crap. If it goes wrong, I'll take the blame myself! The same goes for the rest of the organizers.
Here are a few words to the dear police: The organizers distance themselves from any alleged crimes / administrative offenses occurring in the park. Our approach is NOT to call for it, our approach is also NOT to support it. Our approach is rather to protest against the privatization of public spaces and the discrimination that comes with it.
