Gabba Gabba Hey without Semmelrogge

Due to habitual driving without a license, actor Martin Semmelrogge is currently serving time in an open prison at JVA Düsseldorf. Nevertheless, he was supposed to play a leading role in the punk rock musical about the life story of the Ramones, titled "Gabba Gabba Hey", which is set to premiere on May 10. Now, however, he is withdrawing at short notice. A spokesperson for the organizer Columbia Venues GmbH blamed the prison administration, which allegedly revoked a previously granted permission. Prison director Bernhard Lorenz vehemently denies this, stating that preparations for Semmelrogge's stay in Berlin had already been made: "We did not put any obstacles in his way." Rolf Zacher will now take over Semmelrogge's roles as the father, the school principal, a bartender, and a blind man. Ticket prices start at 15 euros for the 65-minute musical, which features 19 songs. After the performances in Berlin, the tour will continue across Germany.
