During a concert at Webster Hall in New York on July 6, the dispute among Cro-Mags members with their former frontman and bassist Harley Flanagan escalated. On the homepage www.cromags.com, he expresses his anger: "Harley Flanagan WILL NOT be touring with John Bloodclot and his FAKE Cro-Mags. This is misleading information put out by John Bloodclot and his booking agent Matt Pike to deceive fans and MAKE MONEY. They are not presenting the CRO-MAGS since Harley Flanagan WILL NOT be appearing. There are currently NO CRO-MAGS gigs booked. Harley Flanagan WILL NOT be touring with John Bloodclot and his NO-MAGS."
However, Flanagan apparently wanted to get on stage at the event in NY. After his former colleagues canceled, the holder of a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu broke into the backstage area, where he attacked three band members with a knife. The attacked individuals escaped with minor injuries, but the enraged man broke a leg during the security's attempt to subdue him. He was subsequently transported out of the building bound to a wheelchair. The concert was canceled and is expected to be rescheduled soon.
