1. REVIEW 2010
A number of concerts (exactly 13 in total) were met with a series of cancellations. And what do we learn from this? Work sucks. Just like being sick. Highlights certainly included the 10-year demolition West concert at the Alte Kaffeerösterei in Plauen, the solidarity show for Rote Hilfe in Leipzig, and our 100th concert at the Grünen Haus Berga. Otherwise, after what felt like a hundred attempts, we finally managed to release our new album "LIBERATE YOUR MIND"... and that brings us to the next chapter...
2. "LIBERATE YOUR MIND"...
...is the name of our long-awaited album, the first "new" recording since 2006. Although the album has been out since September, we somehow slept on promoting it. So: it has been released as a CD in a stylish cardboard fold-out cover, featuring 11 songs, some of which you can listen to here on Myspace, and you can order the good device via email here or at contienda@arcor.de. And of course at concerts. If you have a mail order and want to resell the album, you can also write to us - we look forward to trade deals of all kinds!
3. ON THE ROAD AGAIN….
For next year, we have decided to leave our soundproof rehearsal bunker a bit more often. The first dates are already set:
05.02. GOTHA – Juwel … + Sidetracked
12.02. HOF – Grüne Haidt
19.02. PLAUEN – Alte Kaffeerösterei … + Obtrusive, The Higgins
27.05. GRIMMA – Crossover Festival
To all of you who have always wanted to organize a concert with us - starting in April, we will be actively looking for shows again, preferably also solidarity events, preferably further away, and also in a double pack with a follow-up concert. Get in touch! We are easygoing and house-trained, but you should come up with some good vegan food. Otherwise, a bit of gas money and a corner to sleep would be greatly appreciated! By the way, we are planning a small tour in April or May… more will be announced soon!
There are also some other plans in the works, as we will be reintroducing some patches and T-shirts into our merchandise due to popular demand. Sure, there are more important things, but we have taken long enough... and maybe there will even be new recordings from us during the new year. A few new songs are already finished and will be showcased at the next concerts. Until then, however, a little time will pass...
