Rock For One World, which was established in response to the tsunami in 2004, is a 100% non-profit event. None of the bands receive payment; all participants provide their services free of charge, and unavoidable costs, such as GEMA fees, posters, etc., are covered by sponsors. This ensures that all ticket sales and any potential surpluses from sponsors are donated.
Despite the smaller scale, quite impressive sums have been donated so far, often surpassing those raised by much larger and more elaborate events of this kind. Here is a newspaper article about the donation handover from the last festival. The new website is now online at www.rock-one-world.de.
The ROW 2011 will take place on Saturday, March 12th in Esslingen, as always at the youth and cultural center Komma!
Running Order:
Contracrash
King Chrome
Tieflader
Voodoo Circle
Primal Fear (Headliner)
Doors: 6:00 PM
Start: 7:00 PM
Admission: € 12,- advance / € 15 at the door
