This morning, on October 6th at 9 AM, there was a search of the premises of Alge e.V. A special task force searched the living and accommodation areas and took the main gate of the premises as well as some other items due to violations of fire safety regulations. Additionally, they cut off the power supply and confiscated stones, beams, flags, and bottles. To make matters worse, more and more Nazis are gathering around the premises. Without electricity, the solidarity concert on October 9th with Nordwand and Tobsucht unfortunately has to be canceled.
Update from 07.10.:
The solidarity concert will now take place after all. Although not in the rooms of Alge, a last-minute move to LIZ Magdeburg was possible.

Back and forth, up and down, and then again... Now the concert is canceled for the time being. Quote: "Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding between LIZ in Magdeburg and ALGE, we are forced to cancel the solidarity concert with Nordwand and Tobsucht. We will reschedule the concert as soon as we have found a possibility." Instead, there will be a squatter party at Alge on October 9th.

Self-determination, freedom, and a life without coercion and discrimination – all this is what A.L.G.E. e.V., a project that has been around for 10 years in the Börde (Saxony-Anhalt), stands for. But since this year, Alge is facing closure and the residents are on the street. The lease for the premises was definitively terminated this summer, and soon visitors in Oschersleben and the surrounding area will have no other alternative place where they can feel safe from fascist, homophobic, and sexist discrimination. This shows the necessity of an autonomous center in Oschersleben. Alge (e.V.) must be preserved so that the youth in the hopeless Oschersleben can continue to live and create an alternative society. For an autonomous life in Oschersleben and elsewhere, without Nazis, sexism, homophobia, and antisemitism. Alge must remain for a libertarian and antifascist space in Oschersleben and everywhere.
