Die Schwarzen Schafe: 24 Years Of D.I.Y.

Sometimes one might think that a breakup would do an old band some good eventually. When new ideas are lacking and instead, the old material is being rehashed over and over again. There hasn't been much new output from the Schwarzen Schafen in recent years. Nevertheless, it seems to have been enough for a second best-of album. One could say that the double CD "1985-1995" is already 13 years old, but the new release "24 Years Of D.I.Y." does not limit itself to the years since then and delivers a total of 19 tracks since the band's formation. Whether the translation of all lyrics into Japanese can be called particularly creative is debatable, but it certainly won't benefit anyone. Rather, a qualitative reworking of some of the aging songs is more in order. The record is available at Campary Records and SP Records.
