As the most comprehensive guide to vinyl punk in Germany, Scheibenklar das Buch can rightly claim this title. On nearly one thousand colorful A4 pages in hardcover, it collects a staggering approximately 12,000 cover images, all in color, of everything that had anything to do with punk and Oi! from 1977 to 2009. International compilations featuring at least one German band, complete discographies, bootlegs, counterfeits, and mispressings exclusively of vinyl records are also listed. In August, the book will be available for pre-order until September 11 for 50 euros, orderable at http://www.myspace.com/scheibenklardasbuch. After that, the 4kg hefty volume will cost 69 euros. It's particularly worthwhile to act quickly here, as there will be no reprint of the 1,000 copies pressed. As a bonus, a surprise EP is even included.
