The Pogopoesieclub at Blue Shell Cologne will open its doors again on October 10 for rock 'n' roll music and literature. Presented by the Cologne cabaret author and poetry slam artist Dagmar Schönleber, loudly and rockingly accompanied by the PPC house band Substyle. As a guest star, none other than Lee Hollis, frontman of the punk and hardcore legends Spermbirds and Steakknife, has announced his appearance, who also has a distinguished fan base as a spoken punk rock performer. Whether it's loudmouthed wrestlers from the neighborhood, the suicidal antics of the stick whittlers in Alabama, the dangers of a night job in Saarbrücken, or the absolutely absurd sexual preferences of a questionable G.I. acquaintance - Lee's perspective on the unvarnished madness on this side and the other side of the Atlantic is always infused with an overdose of humor. But beware, Lee Hollis reads in English. He also musically assaults the microphone.
