With their captivating and innovative sound combining modern rock and centuries-old influences, In Extremo have not only shaped their own music genre but have also become the most well-known and successful medieval rock band in the world, captivating a global audience of millions for three turbulent decades. After seven albums awarded with precious metals (of which no less than four reached the number one spot on the German longplay charts), the tightly-knit band has rocked festivals and shaken venues once again this year!
All good things come in threes – and that's why in September 2027, it’s time for the third round in Halle an der Saale: IN EXTREMO invite you once again to their own festival.
After two successful editions, it is clear: This festival has come to stay. What started with a sold-out debut and 10,000 enthusiastic fans has developed into a fixed date for everyone who is looking for an extraordinary festival day with IN EXTREMO and their friends.
Under the motto "We Wake the Dead," the band will once again gather a handpicked line-up from various styles of the heavier genre in 2027. Additionally, there will be exactly what makes a good IN EXTREMO festival: strong live bands, a special location, a varied supporting program, and plenty of opportunities to celebrate a long day and an even longer night together.
Of course, the band themselves will not be missing. IN EXTREMO have stood for spectacular concerts, joy of playing, and the ability to turn a normal festival appearance into a full-blown event for over three decades. When bagpipes, drums, and guitars come together, it will be clear once again in 2027 who is inviting everyone to dance.
Guests include Mono Inc., Doro, Fiddler’s Green, and Mittelalta.
More special guests will be announced.
