IN EXTREMO & FEUERSCHWANZ announced their HEUTE WIRD DER HIMMEL BRENNEN TOUR - 2027 on July 2, 2026
Two bands, two generations, a shared history – and for the first time in 2027, side by side on a tour: In Extremo and Feuerschwanz are embarking on a major co-headliner journey under the title "HEUTE WIRD DER HIMMEL BRENNEN TOUR 2027".
When In Extremo began in the mid-1990s to combine historical instruments with rock and metal, a completely new musical direction emerged. What started as a bold experiment has developed into one of the most successful movements in the German-speaking rock scene. Feuerschwanz are now among the most exciting protagonists of this genre. With their unmistakable blend of folk, metal, and winking epicness, they have conquered the biggest stages in Europe in recent years, successfully carrying forward the foundation that In Extremo once laid with their own unique signature into the next generation.
For the first time, both bands will now be co-headlining a tour as equals. Their paths have crossed repeatedly over many years – now two formations come together that have shaped and developed medieval rock in different ways.
Each evening will feature two complete headliner shows. In Extremo and Feuerschwanz will present their greatest classics, current songs, and one or two joint surprises. Additionally, everything that has made both bands among the most extraordinary live acts in Europe for years will be included: elaborate productions, historical instruments, a spectacular fire and pyro show, and an atmosphere that connects thousands of people night after night.
The evening will be opened by the band Ragnarök from Italy, whose duo combines Nordic mythology, traditional folk sounds, and modern arrangements into an atmospheric musical experience, transporting the audience with epic tales into the world of Vikings, myths, and ancient legends.
The "HEUTE WIRD DER HIMMEL BRENNEN TOUR 2027" is more than just a concert tour. It shows how vibrant and versatile a music genre has become that has connected people of various generations for over three decades. Where tradition meets the present, nostalgia does not arise, but new energy is created. When In Extremo and Feuerschwanz are on the road together, it becomes clear how far this journey has come and that it is far from over.
