The Nashville-based band Winona Fighter – consisting of frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist Coco Kinnon, lead guitarist Dan Fuson, and bassist and producer Austin Luther – was formed after Coco moved there from Boston, and made a strong impression with their debut EP "Father Figure" in 2022. Their power and impact have not diminished since then. In fact, in "MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF", the anger and frustration that flows through it, which also characterizes the band's energetic and captivating live performances, feels even more urgent, pointed, and necessary than before – something that also translates to the other songs."MY APOLOGIES TO THE CHEF" was recorded by Austin in his home studio and is a wonderfully unfiltered and cohesive reflection on today's life, capturing both the spirited and liberating energy of the band's live performances as well as the fears and worries of existence. Despite the power with which these songs are delivered, they all have an unfiltered vulnerability at their core.
