Shortly before the summer break, the Vienna ErnstKirchwegerHaus is once again celebrating its house and courtyard festival. From July 2nd to July 6th, various events are planned, ranging from workshops and vegan barbecues to flea markets, readings, and evening concerts. Since the homepage remains silent on this, it’s better to inquire about the exact program via email at ekhaus (at) med-user.net. Anyone who wants to participate in the organization and execution is, of course, very welcome.

PolitDiskuBeisl with the following thematic focus:
20 years of Ägidi/Spalo: An important occupied center back in the day was the complex at Aegidigasse/Spalowskygasse near the Vienna Westbahnhof. The Spalowskygasse had already been handed over to groups from the scene since the early 1980s, and from autumn 1983, more vacant apartments were occupied piece by piece. There were cultural events or street festivals in Aegidigasse time and again. However, in July 1986, the municipality announced the termination of the contracts, but the residents decided to stay...

The Free Parade rolls for
- the right to self-organization instead of criminalization of cultural creators outside the mainstream and culture based on profit logic!
- the preservation of political and cultural spaces, like EKH, Moviemento, Tüwi, ... and the self-organized use of vacant speculative properties!
- the promotion of participatory media and against the concentration of media power in the hands of a few corporations or the state!
- the unrestricted use of digital communication means instead of copyright, censorship attempts, and surveillance!
- age-independent access to education without financial or other barriers! Education is a human right – anytime, for everyone!
- the preservation and expansion of the social system, as well as self-organized social networks!
- the promotion of intercultural communication instead of rearmament!
- no borders, no nations! Right to stay for all, everywhere! No person is illegal!
- an enlightening, anti-repressive drug policy!
- away with dance bans and curfews!
The Free Parade rolls against capitalism, nationalism, fascism, racism, (hetero-)sexism,...!
