When "Anarchy In The UK" was released in 1976, everything suddenly changed. And that's why the readers of the British magazine "Q" chose the album as the most important of the 70s.
The 70s are often remembered as the time of disco, flared trousers, and platform shoes. The Sex Pistols burst onto an unsuspecting world and created an entirely new musical movement that would influence generations of musicians to come.
Against the punk fathers, whose frontman Johnny Rotten has just exited the British version of "I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here!" early, neither Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" nor Donna Summer's disco classic "I Feel Love" stood a chance.
Also making it into the top ten were: T-Rex's "Get It On", Black Sabbath's "Paranoid", "Gangsters" by Specials AKA, and Kraftwerk's "Autobahn".
