The New York hardcore formation and scene giant Show Me the Body returns with a new single including a music video: "Dance In The USA"!

The single was produced by the unusual duo Klas Åhlund (Robyn, Ghost) and Kenneth Blume III (Geese, Fcukers), who met last year during sessions at Blume's studio Putnam Hill in Southern California through the band's introduction. A music video shot by Jake Moore will also be released for "Dance In The USA," celebrating the diverse rhythmic structures of America and the physics of human movement. Known for their visceral, chaotic live performances, the track carries the same urgent call to action that can be heard in these spaces: "MOVE!"
"‘Dance In The USA’ is about how we plead for style to survive in this reality. It’s about how we embrace the struggle with ourselves, our families, and the people around us. It’s the dance we all dance – how we get by, the good and the bad things we do – just to survive." – Julian Cashwan Pratt
The song itself places the core language of Show Me the Body in a new context, revealing more focus, urgency, and clarity than ever before. The dance, which is both literal and subversive, represents the struggle of living "like a dog on a leash" and the answer to it: style and movement. "It’s a game for fools, but I’m not one who loses," the lyrics state.
In anticipation of the single, Julian Cashwan Pratt from Show Me the Body started a series of conversations where he talks with "a few of my best friends, creative colleagues, and mentors about 'life, loss, family, community, art, and practice.'"
The band will embark on a tour through the UK and Europe this summer, performing at selected festivals and supporting Deafheaven on a series of concerts:
