"Dalla mia parte della strada" was about a swimming competition that prevented the protagonist of the story from realizing his dream of the open sea.
But who, in a way, creates this sad image of an alienated swimmer and steers him according to his wishes in a distant swimming pool, erasing his identity in exchange for the image of a winner who is granted recognition? And why must our swimmer risk giving up his dream, judged from a comfort zone?
So here we are in the dreamlike ring of "Banality Deathmatch": Referencing a 90s show "Celebrity Deathmatch," the song starts from the world of haters but addresses a more general cynical, envious, arrogant, and fearful humanity that puts its fellow humans on trial and throws around flattering slogans and superficial, sterile rhetoric just to appear right, but always only from a comfort zone, without risking anything while demanding something from others.
It is the paradox of judging others without exposing oneself that flattens the world of culture. But the story is just beginning ...
