Dead Pioneers, the indigenous punk band from Denver, returns with one of their angriest, most powerful, and important works to date.

As the rise of the extreme right and white supremacists continues to grow and they are seen coming out of their hiding places, Dead Pioneers are ready to strike back with their new single "Nazi Teeth," the first track from their upcoming third album, set to be released later this year, with more details to follow.

The song NAZI TEETH can be seen and heard here:

"While it is unfortunate that this is even necessary, we will never shy away from addressing the obvious," explains frontman Gregg Deal.

"However, we did not expect that this obvious problem would be the resurgence of fascism on American soil. Perhaps we should have. Frustrated and angry, ready and willing to fight, we are aware that the necessity to write such a song or to speak these words aloud is grim, ironic, and disturbing. Yet here we are. And we are here to do this!"

The single features a fiery vocal collaboration with Stephanie Bryne from the feminist punk band Cheap Perfume from Colorado, connecting to her fantastic song "It’s Okay To Punch Nazis" from 2016. Stephanie's voice breaks through the song and amplifies the confrontation with white supremacists around the world.

"We are witnessing in real-time the violent and terrifying overreach of this government, while many of our brothers and sisters have suffered under white supremacy and colonialism for generations," says Stephanie. "Nazi Teeth is a call to action to stand firm together with friends, family, and community. If we keep the Nazis at bay, we all remain free."

"The United States of Amerikkka is in turmoil, and 'Nazi Teeth' is not only our response to what we see and experience on the streets of the so-called land of freedom, but also a call to action to fight against the ongoing manifestation of the forces that our grandparents and great-grandparents fought against more than 81 years ago," Gregg continues.

"It should be self-evident, but for some people, it apparently needs to be stated explicitly once again: Fuck Nazis, fuck fascism, fuck ICE, fuck pedophiles, and fuck Trump and his administration. If violence is the only language they understand, it’s okay to smash Nazis' teeth in."

Dead Pioneers have never shied away from using their art as a means to express their beliefs and their anger about the current political situation in America. Across two albums – their self-titled debut album from 2023 and "PO$T AMERICAN" from last year – the band has created a unique blend of spoken word and hypnotic post-punk, mixed with the anger and fury of real punk rock.

Dead Pioneers will kick off their first headlining tour through the EU and the UK at the end of this month. Support for all UK shows comes from Yakkie featuring Janey Starling, formerly of Dream Nails.

In just a few weeks, DEAD PIONEERS will play their first major UK/EU headline club tour with numerous stops also here with us! Tickets are running low in several cities, so be quick!

More about Dead Pioneers:

Dead Pioneers emerged as a dynamic extension of the performance art of singer Gregg Deal, seamlessly blending music with critical cultural commentary. Rooted in the same themes of identity and resistance that also shape his visual work, the band's sound serves as a powerful platform to address the complexities of indigenous peoples' experiences.

Deal harnesses the raw energy of post-punk and alternative influences to challenge prevailing narratives, using lyrics that provoke thought and evoke emotions. Just as his performance art engages with the legacy of colonization and systemic marginalization, Dead Pioneers – complemented by Josh Rivera and Abe Brennan on guitars, bassist Lee Tesche (Algiers), and drummer Shane Zweygardt – invites the audience into a visceral dialogue about survival, resilience, and reclaiming voice.

This musical project not only amplifies his artistic vision but also creates a space for collective expression and solidarity, inviting listeners to reflect on the intersections of culture, history, and identity in a contemporary context. With Dead Pioneers, Deal continues to affirm that art in all its forms can be a powerful means for activism and change.
