In March 2025, his debut book "LOST BOY" will be published - in it, he recounts another burnt-out episode of his life: Disappointed by the clichés of the media world and the empty promises of happiness from a performance-oriented society, he quits his job and boards a plane to Eastern Europe - far away from home - in Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania - where no one knows him and no one wants anything from him, he tries to catch up with himself. The work published by Ullstein Verlag reached #7 on the SPIEGEL bestseller list, and the first reading tour is largely sold out.

Hubertus Koch searches with his audience for the beautiful moments in this increasingly ugly world. And yes, the boy is lost and does not want to commit. Especially not on stage!
Because a mere reading is too boring for him, Hubertus Koch combines everything he has done so far in his live program: book, film, podcast, stand-up. Hubi reads from his SPIEGEL bestseller LOST BOY, garnishes this Balkan travel story with photos and videos, shows excerpts from his journalistic films, and provides insights into previously unpublished behind-the-scenes material.

Life experience and chaos in the mind are the quarry for this live program, which is oriented towards real life and, like it, allows for laughter, crying, and pondering. It addresses issues of self-worth and repressed feelings, work and burnout, but also drug excesses, world-weariness, and the question of consensus and self-determination. Hubi packs the most diverse topics into entertaining 120 minutes and displays a level of honesty that is hard to find today.
"LOST BOY" is a harsh reckoning and a tender love song, an ode to chaos and a pressing appeal to maintain a sense of real moments and open-hearted encounters in an increasingly artificial world. Because in the end, these may be all that remains for us. So come around! Those who like his films will love Hubi's live program!
