Converge announce their new album "Love Is Not Enough," which will be released on February 13, 2026, via Epitaph Records. Their new album could be the culmination of Converge's decades-long journey through the microcosm of punk, hardcore, and metal. Lead vocalist/lyricist Jacob Bannon, guitarist/producer Kurt Ballou, bassist/vocalist Nate Newton, and drummer Ben Koller create a compelling artistic statement about the chaos of life with the new album.
Converge also released the title track "Love Is Not Enough" with a music video on November 19, 2025. The song is intense and emotional.

For more than three decades, Converge has delivered musical and emotional catharsis, prioritizing purpose over perception and intention over interpretation. Whether it’s their groundbreaking album Jane Doe from 2001 or their collaboration Bloodmoon: I from 2021, Converge has created some of the most captivating music, lyrics, and visual artworks of the 21st century. During this time, few bands have had a greater impact on the imagination of the underground.
"Love Is Not Enough" features no special guests, no studio tricks, no relentless editing of human imperfection to create the perfect take. "I think realism is lacking in many modern pieces of music across all genres, but especially in our genre," says Bannon. "It either gets super raw and almost chaotic to the point of being distracting, or the bands take the life out of what they do by editing every aspect. Sometimes the perfect take is the one that has a bit of wildness to it. It’s not perfectly executed. There are many powerful moments on this record and many angry moments. The realism enhances that."
Unlike so many albums that adhere to a tried-and-true sequencing format and select favorite tracks for the all-important first, second, and last spots, "Love Is Not Enough" is all about momentum. "It does something that no other Converge record does – it keeps building," says Bannon. "And that is definitely intentional. Internally, we passed around dozens of ideas for the sequencing because everyone interprets music differently and there’s no right way to do it. When we do that, we always joke that we all have to be equally unhappy. But this one works."
"Love Is Not Enough" was recorded and mixed by Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts, with technical assistance from Zach Weeks. Jacob Bannon created the artwork and design, crafting an image for each song and designing an impressive cover that depicts a celestial witness to a burning world. "We still identify this band as the outlet that is essential for our lives," says Bannon. "We give everything we have to it. Now that we’ve surpassed the average median age, we’re starting to look deeper than ever into a variety of places. And I don’t think that only applies to us. I think that’s something that can be completely identified with."
The band is also looking forward to performing at the Jera On Air Festival in Ysselsteyn (Netherlands) on June 25, 2026, where they will present their new album.
