35 years on stages around the world, countless concerts, and a unique sound that has long achieved cult status – Fiddler’s Green are celebrating their anniversary with a true highlight: the single "Botany Bay," recorded together with none other than Jimmy Kelly. The idea for this special duet arose casually during a meeting in the studio. From a spontaneous exchange, the vision developed to bring a song to life together that stands like few others for farewell, departure, and hope. With "Botany Bay," Fiddler’s Green and Jimmy Kelly draw on the traditional song that tells the story of Pat, the emigrant. His tale of leaving home and the uncertain journey to Australia is more relevant and touching than ever.

The new version combines everything that Fiddler’s Green has stood for over the past 35 years: driving rhythms, Irish-inspired melodies, unbridled joy of playing, and an energy that immediately captivates. Jimmy Kelly's distinctive voice adds a special emotional depth to the whole – creating a powerful interpretation that delights both traditional folk fans and a modern audience.
With "Botany Bay," Fiddler’s Green are making a musical exclamation point for their anniversary. The song is more than just a single – it is a piece of living folk history, carried by friendship, passion, and the shared joy of making music.
And the anniversary will also be celebrated live!
