SONDASCHULE present their third single "Auf einen neuen Tag" as an emotional ska-punk anthem in memory of guitarist Daniel "Blubbi" Junker - The song was released yesterday, June 23, marking the fourth anniversary of his unexpected death.
Driving brass sections merge with an epic choir in a Queen-style. The band shows a more mature side – honest, vulnerable, full of feeling. The song is touching and powerful at the same time – new energy arises from grief.

The band on the death of their guitarist, who became a member of Sondaschule three years after its founding in 2002:
"How does one cope with this? How does one process something like this? We have been side by side from the very beginning and have experienced all the highs and lows together over the last 20 years, pouring all our heart, time, and energy into this band. The first concerts without him were honestly barely bearable, and many tears were shed backstage. We tried not to let it show too much, but every time we looked to the right side of the stage to encourage each other with euphoric glances, knowing without words that this is exactly what we always wanted, he was no longer there...
Of course, time passes and supposedly heals all wounds. But some wounds remain and keep reopening. You just learn to cope with it somehow, even if not well. Soon our first album in the band's history without Blubbi will be released. But he is not forgotten and will never be. Therefore, we have dedicated three songs on the new album to him, or rather written for and about him, to process it all. The album title 'Wir bleiben wach' also refers to Blubbi, as he has fallen asleep and we are still here, battered but awake and ready to continue the path for him, to conquer the world. Even if it hurts."
