With the song "REST IN PEACE," BITUME takes an exaggeratedly formulated and tumultuous wink at the sudden end of what is likely a rather one-sided love. When love turns to hate, sometimes the only option is to flee. The lyrics play out a bit like in a classic Tom and Jerry cartoon. "The good mood from yesterday is history today – hate and not love is written on your face."
In the last third of the song, a short piano melody flows in, which ultimately frames the story in a worthy and musical way. Rest in peace my love – Ruhe in Frieden! The end of happiness!
