HELLOWEEN announce new album:
„Giants & Monsters“ will be released on 29.08.2025
With their self-titled 2021 #1 album, a total of 21 gold and platinum awards, and over ten million records sold, HELLOWEEN are a band that can do anything and everything for their 40th anniversary. Since their reunion, featuring a legendary lineup with three brilliant singers, the world-class septet has firmly arrived in the metal Olympus and claims the throne with „Giants & Monsters“.
Confident and bursting with power, the most versatile album in their history will be released in August: „Giants & Monsters“ takes a deep breath and unleashes a roar that leaves no doubt about the fiery pulse of the ten new songs. The opposite of restraint is already evident in the first single ‘This Is Tokyo’, which is not only a strong contender for a hit but also a long-held dream of Andi Deris: “I have always wanted to write this song. Japan plays a special role in my life because I had my first major successes with PINK CREAM 69 there, and I was always treated incredibly well. I wanted to pay tribute to Japan for a long time and finally had the right lyrical idea. Because ‘Tokyo’ simply sounds catchier than ‘Japan’, the city here stands for a whole country that is very important to me.”

With just over four minutes and a chorus that can evoke all the stadium choirs in the world, Deris and Kiske mark the terrain of an LP that does not shy away from comparison with the legendary “Keeper...” albums. However, consistently topping superlatives requires the courage to reinvent a colossus like HELLOWEEN time and again and to face challenges even after four decades. With the sensitivity of producers Charlie Bauerfeind and Dennis Ward, who were also at the controls for the #1 predecessor, maximum experimental enthusiasm, and the highest standards, it was, for example, conceivable that Dani Löble recorded all tracks on three drum sets to individually decide which set delivers the perfect vibe for each song. An effort and attention to detail that not everyone can afford.
Friction is another secret: “What drives us is also the fact that we are extremely different. This creates creative energy,” explains Weikath. “And when there are problems, our passion and humor connect us. We try not to take ourselves and the surroundings too seriously,” adds Hansen, before Deris summarizes: “In the end, we are just seven guys who want to make music and enjoy the incomparable power that arises when we are together. HELLOWEEN is more powerful than the sum of its individual members.”
This unique pumpkin power will also flood the stages on the anniversary tour when the band celebrates 40 years of HELLOWEEN together with the fans. With an ultimate setlist that offers solid surprises, they will head to the most important arenas on the planet. The first dates of the European tour starting in mid-October sold out in no time, and tickets for additional shows in Madrid and Bochum are already on sale.
„Giants & Monsters“ was mixed at the legendary Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum, Netherlands (including IRON MAIDEN, JUDAS PRIEST, DEF LEPPARD) and can be pre-ordered now alongside the release of ‘This Is Tokyo’.
