REFUSED
ON FAREWELL TOUR WITH HEADLINE DATES IN GERMANY!
Following the announcement last year that their groundbreaking chapter is coming to an end, the Swedish hardcore punk icons Refused are now revealing plans for a headliner farewell tour - a final, celebratory series of headliner shows across Europe marking the end of their iconic career. The relevant dates for us are listed below:
REFUSED LIVE 2025
15.06. Berlin - Huxleys
24.06. - Frankfurt - Batschkapp
25.06. Hamburg- Docks
11.07- CH-Zürich- X-tra
11.10. Leipzig - Felsenkeller
12.10. München - Muffathalle
From their formation in 1991 until their breakup in 1998, Refused shook and redefined the conventions of the genre, changing what heavy music can be - both sonically and politically. Their fearless blend of hardcore, punk, and experimental sounds inspired generations of artists across hardcore, alt-rock, and metal to push the boundaries of their own creative and ideological expression. Since their reunion in 2012, the band continues to leave an indelible mark on the global music landscape.
The tour follows the celebrations surrounding a Refused milestone: On November 8th last year, the band celebrated the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking album "The Shape of Punk to Come" with a limited collector's edition filled with rare and exclusive material. The anniversary set included a 3LP reissue on exclusive colored vinyl as well as unreleased demos and alternative versions that provided a deeper insight into the album's creation. Also included was The Shape of Punk to Come Obliterated - a 12-track tribute album featuring covers and remixes by artists such as Quicksand, Gel, IDLES, Touché Amoré, and others. Complemented by notes from Dennis Lyxzén and David Sandström, as well as reflections from the participating bands, the collection offers a new perspective on the lasting impact and legacy of the album.
This tour marks the final chapter of Refused - a band whose music, message, and legacy will resonate for generations to come.
"You just have to love festivals, but of course we want to come and sweat and dance with you one last time in the clubs. We couldn't be more excited. Let's make sure we celebrate the end of Refused in style!!!", says frontman Dennis Lyxzén.
