Robert Jon & The Wreck are back with "Long Gone" – a passionate single created in collaboration with John Oates (Hall & Oates) and produced by none other than Grammy winner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Rival Sons, Brandi Carlile). Available now on all streaming platforms, the song once again showcases why the band is considered one of the most exciting forces in modern rock: compelling storytelling with bluesy soul, anthemic melodies, and a hefty dose of rock’n’roll grit – the perfect mix that has made them a staple in modern rock.
"Long Gone" took shape during a songwriting session with John Oates in Nashville," says frontman Robert Jon Burrison. "It was an honor to work with such a legend. With Dave Cobb in the studio, the song gained a whole new energy – a gripping riff and a solo that blows you away. It’s about a relationship that just can’t be saved – a theme that many can surely relate to."
The song took its first forms in the legendary RCA Studio A, but went through several transformations before producer Dave Cobb took it to a whole new level. "Working with Dave was one of the most inspiring experiences we’ve ever had as a band," says guitarist Henry James. "He has an incredible way of bringing spontaneous ideas to life in real-time. Everything we had planned for the song before went out the window – and then we just let it rip. What you hear today is the result of fewer takes, just pure energy."
Alongside the new music, the guys are facing a packed tour schedule for 2025. This month, they will join Joe Bonamassa and a star-studded lineup on the Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea X cruise (March 21–26, 2025), before taking the stage at the legendary New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24, 2025. After that, they will embark on an extensive European tour that will take them to the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Spain – Southern rock and blues at the highest level!
