A wonderful power pop track with a garage-like foundation about self-determination, humanity, and equality.
"Animals" is carried by the casually thumped drumming and smooth old-school riffing from the verse to the catchy chorus, which immediately captivates and embeds itself in your brain with each repetition until you can't help but move. Two and a half minutes in the best tradition of bands like The Nerves, Clorox Girls, and B52s, which touch the heart but also get into your legs.
