To celebrate their 20th anniversary, 100blumen is bringing us four brand new songs and a cover piece on colorful 10" vinyl plus Flexi-Disc. Of course, all of this will also be available digitally and for streaming on all known services. Vinyl enthusiasts can look forward to this "fetish" vinyl just as much as all other fans of 100blumen, because it features the typically wild mix of electro/guitar/synth that many describe as a "wall of sound." With "Blumendisaster," 100blumen takes us far back into the past to the early days of 100blumen. What is offered is nothing less than a pure rhythmic noise/industrial piece that is hardly crafted in this scene today.
Thematically, it deals with dystopian visions in which fascists and climate deniers have gained the upper hand, or personal themes like loneliness and vulnerability in an increasingly toxic world. However, there are still guaranteed to be "No songs about love – No songs about friendship," at least not on this particular recording.
With the piece "Erschießen," which is included as a Flexi-Disc (!) with the 10", 100blumen pays tribute to the "NDW" pioneers Ideal. There’s nothing more to say to people from Generation X; younger people can discover it anew for themselves.
Tour dates:
30.11.24 Düsseldorf, Weltkunstzimmer
13.12.24 Weimar, Gerber
14.12.24 Plauen, Malzhaus – Krawampus Fest #5
07.02.25 Bremen, Lila Eule
08.02.25 Cologne, Sonic Ballroom
14.02.25 Oberhausen, Druckluft
