In Extremo is once again going all out this summer and is launching their own "Weckt die Toten Festival" after the legendary castle tour.
All the supports for the castle tour have now been confirmed. And with Bergen auf Rügen, a new show has also been added.
"Weckt die Toten" is an album by In Extremo and is also a song by In Extremo. The band states: Weckt die Toten is both a farewell and an anthem, it is bitter seriousness and mischievous grinning all at once, and it is past and future in the same moment. Weckt die Toten is friendship and community, it is intoxication and ecstasy, it is a call to action and solidarity. But above all, Weckt die Toten is now also a festival by and with In Extremo.” The festival will take place annually in Halle an der Saale on Peißnitz Island.
The six minstrels invite you to the celebration on August 31, 2024, in Halle an der Saale on Peißnitz Island. Joining them are Feuerschwanz, Knorkator, and Rauhbein. The band is clearly not talking about a promise for a good time but rather a guarantee. There will also be a medieval market.
Under this banner, the minstrels of IN EXTREMO will again tour the medieval castles and palaces of the country next year, taking their audience on a unique journey into their own musical past! For 2024, the six will prepare a very special program with a spectacular pyro show and illustrious guests for their fans! IN EXTREMO will once again make it a blast at a total of ten castles and palaces!
The castle tour, which is mostly sold out, has grown into a fixed institution in the German open-air scene in recent years, and after the huge successes of the past years, In Extremo is already eager to play more castle shows next year.
