KATE CLOVER announces new album "The Apocalypse Dream" and new tour dates
Kate Clover is a songwriter and musician from Los Angeles, California. Growing up in the fringe cultures of skating and surfing, Clover has always been drawn to the counterculture of the West Coast - the dark innocence of the holy barbarians and discontented kids around her. In 2023, she became an emerging star in the punk underground scene and earned a reputation as an explosive live performer. She even caught the attention of The Hives, who booked her as a support act for their US tour in North America. That same year, Clover also played with Fucked Up and Superchunk at select dates. Additionally, she toured Europe again!
"The Apocalypse Dream" is Kate's second album, which many now consider to be a major insider tip in the punk underground. The album was produced by Jonah Falco (Fucked Up, Chubby and the Gang, The Chisel) and mixed by Grammy-winning producer Carlos De La Garza (The Linda Lindas, Paramore). Sonically inspired by 70s punk, power pop, and a bit of The Kinks. Lyrically inspired by beat poet Charles Plymell. It addresses themes such as self-destruction, politics, love, and the desire to find oneself in a crazed world.
