Q: Your new album sounds a bit like THE CASUALTIES. How do you see that?
KB: That's true. We play a similar style. THE CASUALTIES are very good friends of ours. We get along very well, are on the same wavelength, have the same musical interests, so it's not surprising that we also make a similar sound.
Q: How important are political and social issues in your music?
KB: Politics sets the rules for our lives. Social issues also play a big role because they directly affect our lives.
We write about topics that move us. These include pain, hate, relationships, and governments. These topics are all parts of our lives, we deal with them every day. Everyone can form their own opinion about it and see if they find themselves in our lyrics.
Q: What do you want to achieve with your music?
KB: That's a difficult question.
I want to reach people. I want to move people. I want people to question their thoughts and actions.
Q: What is the current political situation in the USA?
KB: Bad as always.
Q: What do you think about patriotism in the USA? Is patriotism inappropriate and arrogant in your eyes?
KB: Patriotism can always be interpreted as arrogance. I think patriotism is in all people and has nothing to do with a specific nation. It is part of the pride that every person has. In our opinion, it is time to stand up and come together. Only then can something be achieved.
Q: Can American patriotism help?
KB: What kind of question is that? Do you watch television? There you see what patriotism brings us.
Q: Is terrorism the greatest danger to humanity or the increasingly stronger control of people?
KB: Of course, terrorism is a great danger and of course, the increasingly stronger control and surveillance of people is also a great danger.
When people hate each other and want to kill each other, it only fuels more and more hate. Violence always generates counter-violence. With the mindset that violence can change something, humanity has been struggling since the beginning of its history, and it will only get worse until we eventually kill each other. We need to move away from the mindset that violence can be a solution.
